Welcome to my video trophy guide for The Surge.

​

Following the below videos from start to finish will earn you 100% of the trophies for The Surge. This includes the platinum for the main game and both DLCs, A Walk in the Park and The Good, The Bad, & The Augmented. We can can get pretty much all of the main game trophies from a single playthrough, we just need to venture into new game plus to kill a boss with their own weapon and pick up some sunglasses. The onto the DLCs for the final two videos, the first DLC is a straightforward story-based DLC which means we can get all the trophies for that in a single playthrough. Having said that, there are a couple of missable trophies. The second DLC is a little different. The Good, the bad, and the augmented is a challenge room based DLC, which does require a bit of farming for items, so a few play-throughs of certain challenges are required.

Just a quick word on the missable trophies.

​

• There are two endings for the main game. I haven't put the trophies in this missable section, but it goes without saying you can only get one or the other, but we use a backup save to get both in one playthrough.

​

• Who's in Charge Here? is for finding The Board. This is quite near the end of the game (Executive) and is missable because if you interact with Sally before entering the board room, you'll get locked out of it.​

​

• Sunglasses at Night is for finding some sunglasses. This is missable because of a conflicting side quest. If you start the 'repeat customer' side quest by giving Jo scrap, the sunglasses will not appear in her hideout. This trophy is the main reason we have to go into New Game Plus.

​

• Pusher Man is for helping someone refill their medicine supply. The trophy pertains to Davey's side quest. The reason it can be missed is because if you don't rescue Davey early on, he will die if you progress too far into the game.

​

• Repeat Customer is for giving scrap to Jo three times. This is the conflicting side quest that stops you getting 'Sunglasses at Night' in the same playthrough. The reason you can miss this trophy is because you meet Jo in three specific places to give her scrap and if you advance too far you will miss one of the opportunities.

​

• Duty-Bound is for accompanying a lost soul on her quest. This is the Irina side quest. The reason this is missable is because you meet her in specific places during the game, but if you advance too far you could potentially miss one of the meetings.

​

• Ghost in the Machine is for accompanying a father and his daughter through the facility. Yet again, another side mission, this time Alec and Maddy. This is missable for two reasons, you could potentially miss one of the two meetings if you advance the game too far or during the very last conversation with Alec. If you don't say 'Maddy's Dead' you will miss the trophy entirely.

• Follow the White Rabbit is for collecting all of Mallory's audio logs. Two of the audio logs are missable. They appear on a computer console in the med bay of Central Production B. Advance the story too far and you'll miss your opportunity to collect them as they'll be replaced by a different audio log.

​

• Infidel is for killing the vending machine cult in Central Production B. They are just a group on enemies stood around a vending machine. The reason this is missable is because if you advance the story too far the 'world' will change and the group of enemies will disappear for good.

​

• Homo Machinalis is for killing Barrett after his transformation. If you kill him before he obviously won't transform and you'll miss this trophy.

​

• Was That Yours? is for killing a boss with their own weapon. This can only be done in new game plus. This is missable because you may kill all the bosses in new game plus and not use their own weapon against them. It only needs to be the final blow for it to count.

​

• Overconfident is for killing a boss while carrying 20,000 scrap. This is easily missed because if you kill all the bosses without doing it, you will have missed your chance.

​

• (A Walk in the Park DLC) Carbon Cat vs Iron Maus is for killing Carbon Cat (the final boss of the DLC) while wearing the Iron Maus armour set. Obviously if you kill him without wearing it, you'll miss out.

​

• (A Walk in the Park DLC) Rusty Rat is for saving Rusty Rat. This happens just before the final boss of the DLC. You need to quickly get to Rusty Rat and save him or he'll die and you'll miss the trophy.
